Out on the Street

A lot of people know too well what it’s like to be really close with someone, but then to have to say goodbye to them as a result of things beyond their control.

A few months ago I came up with a chorus line that I realised could work with my own personal experiences of such a situation. The song developed and became Out on the Street.

It’s actually the only song on Resignation from the Human Race that was recorded with my old Valencia (i.e. the Good Morning COVID guitar). However, lyrically, I’m proud of it and I hope one day people might stop to listen and see how it relates to them.

And, though my own experience happened a long time ago with an early sweetheart, perhaps even I will get to “see her one more time”.
